“Wow, I’m tongue tied. Writing this as i’m out the door. Love it here! Love every person, Love this part of the country. It’s cheesy, but these 1 ½ weeks will surely change my life for the better. I’ve been reminded how to live well, and will not soon forget. Peace to you all!"

“Thank you, for being such an awesome host, for providing a home for me, for introducing me to so many cool people and showing me how to do so much cool stuff! For being a friend, brother, father, for graciously hosting Amanda and Alix this weekend. I know they were truly inspired. Thank you for imagining a list that continues onward.”

Trades are any skill or mastery needed to develop resilient community
Resilience is the ability to bounce back after disaster or suffering
The ability to sustain oneself while elevating our health and wellness
A community of people working together where everyone has a specialization
Treehouse Trade School has three parts: online training, mobile training units, and a future brick-and-mortar campus
Online members get access to training videos, weekly calls, guest speakers, and monthly hands-on workshops
Mobile training units bring learning tools and demonstrations to festivals and communities, promoting hands-on experience
The brick-and-mortar goal is a village-style campus in upstate South Carolina where homes, businesses, and education coexist sustainably
All members are considered Tree Scouts, represented by a person-shaped tree symbol
Certification process follows three steps: learn skills online, earn experience and income through hands-on work, and return by teaching others
Instructors verify skills through observation or submitted training videos
Badges correspond to skill sets that determine market value and earning potential
The system offers a clear path for increasing income by gaining new, practical skills
Tree Scout logo represents seven layers of sustainability as roots
The taproot is self-development and health/wellness, the foundation for learning and teamwork
Other layers: community, energy, economy, governance, build, sustenance, and ecology
Focus on personal healing and mindset work through meditation, forgiveness, reiki, or coaching before skill training
Interns explore general experience; apprentices commit to mastering a trade alongside instructors
Both may earn pay depending on knowledge, attitude, and work ethic
Membership required to learn prerequisites before hands-on training
Application process screens for commitment, attention to detail, and alignment with mission and values
