2:00 PM – Making cob
3:00 PM – Cob around the sand mold.

10:00 AM – Recap/open – discussion of process
11:00 AM – Insulation layer
12:00 PM – Lunch
1:00 pm – Plaster layer
3:00pm – (time allowing – plaster sculpture)

James brings over a decade of hands-on experience in natural building. He has worked on a wide range of projects, from earth bag construction to straw bale walls. Passionate about the pursuit of truly affordable housing, James is committed to sustainable construction and accessible solutions using natural materials.
He is equally inspired by creating art with wild clay and other found materials, continually exploring innovative ways to highlight and celebrate the resources that surround us.

What should I bring?
Water bottles, clothes and shoes that can get muddy, bug spray, snacks, swimsuit (workshop is onsite at Lake Hartwell).
Is lodging included?
Yes, 2 nights on-site at the Seneca Treehouse Project (lodging tier only).
Are meals included?
Yes. All meals included with lodging package. Notify us of dietary restrictions.
